If you're organizing on-site headshots for your team, you might wonder:“Do we have enough space at the office for a professional photographer to set up?”
The answer is—most likely, yes! At Glynns Thomas Portraits, I bring a full professional on-location studio directly to your workplace. That means you get the same high-quality results you'd expect in a studio, but with all the convenience of staying in the office.
With just a little planning, we can turn a conference room or open area into a polished, camera-ready space that reflects your team’s professionalism and your brand’s credibility.
📘 This post is part of our series on What Do I Need to Know Before Hiring a Corporate Headshot Photographer?

📏 Ideal Office Space for a Mini Photo Studio
For the best results, I recommend a space with:
At least 10 feet wide by 15 feet deep of clear floor space
Ceilings that are 10 feet high or more, if possible
This allows room for the complete professional studio setup I bring with me:
✔️ Pro lighting with modifiers
✔️ Seamless backdrop (if needed)
✔️ Full-frame camera and tripod
✔️ Enough space for comfortable posing and coaching
🔹 Note: When I say “clear floor space,” I mean free from furniture like conference tables or chairs. The clearer the space, the smoother the session.
🏢 Don’t Have a Large Room? No Problem.
While that 10' x 15' footprint is ideal, I’ve successfully created professional portraits in smaller or less-than-perfect spaces, too.
Because I bring a customizable, full on-location studio, I can adapt to tight offices, creative corners, or shared meeting rooms. I have compact setups and background options specifically designed for more limited spaces.
Let’s talk about what you do have—I’ll make sure to bring the right equipment to maximize the space and still deliver stunning, polished headshots.
💡 How to Prepare Your Space for On-Site Headshots
Here’s how you can help set the stage for a smooth session:
Choose a quiet room with low foot traffic to help team members feel relaxed.
Remove large furniture from the shooting area if possible (especially long tables).
Reserve the room for the full length of the session to avoid interruptions.
Minimize background clutter if we’ll be shooting with your natural office as the backdrop.
Whether we use your office environment or a seamless studio-style background, I’ll bring the tools needed to create a polished, professional look.
🛠️ A Full Studio Experience—Without Leaving the Office
When you book with Glynns Thomas Portraits, you’re getting a professional-grade mobile studio complete with:
