How fun that I got to photograph another bolo tie! I don't see this often so it's always unique and interesting to me.
This tie was especially interesting because it's made of porcupine quills. Do you know how the quills are gathered? By throwing a blanket on top of the porcupine so they will eject their quills. I looked it up. It's not for the faint of heart but the porcupine is unharmed.
Another interesting fact: quillwork is the oldest form of Native American embroidery.
The bolo tie for this gentleman speaks to his target audience and his portraits will be a solid marketing asset for him.
